The Castle appears for the first time in an ancient document of 1001 a.c. as property Area of Benedettine Monks of San Savino in Piacenza. In the year 1000 a.c. appears the first of the four circular towers. The Castle was often place of  battles and wars. In 1212 year the Guelf party of Piacenza was defeated by the Ghibellini party. This is why the Castle was called “Guelf castle” or Castle of the Pope. In the fourteen century was conquered by Gabriello Boccapiccinina later by the Chiapponi family. In the Eighteen century was inherited by Scotti family of San Giorgio who turned the manor in a rich and beautiful home full of friscoes. In 1902 was in habited by Lombardi familiy from Genova later the engineer Giuseppe Manfredi invited prof. Camillo Guidotti to restor the Castle. From 1930 to 1987 it belonged to Madri Orsoline of Piacenza who bought the Castle from the count Gino Cigala Fulgosi, now Castle belongs to Mr. Lorenzo Fiorani and his wife Maddalena Girometta.
